- Only whole kilns may be rented. Access potential firing partners by going here.
- Once your firing is purchased, the District Clay firing team will contact you to schedule and prepare for your firing. You should know what cone you want to fire at and if there any special firing instructions and your timeframe for firing. We typically fire bisque to cone 05, electric glaze to cone 6 and gas reduction to cone 10.
- We typically need two weeks to schedule a firing.
- You may also use District Clay Cone 6 electric or Cone 10 gas glazes for an additional fee if you wish.
- District Clay is not responsible for breakage or damage to ware resulting from a firing and reserves the right to reject ware that is too thick or is improperly glazed (glaze should be at least 1/4 inch from bottoms of pot.)
- You should contact District Clay if your piece is an unusual shape or size.
- If you have questions about renting a District Clay kiln, please contact Jon Kerr at stonewarejon@gmail.com.
- If you use your own glazes, you are responsible for any damage to DCC kiln shelves and elements from runny or incorrectly formulated glazes. Please be sure your glaze is being fired at the appropriate cone.
