The District Clay Center is the largest and most complete ceramics arts center in the District of Columbia and the surrounding metropolitan area.
More than just a studio, a school, or a shared workspace, our facility caters to a diverse community of artists at all skill levels. We have physical spaces for all of the different programs and for every type of ceramic artist. We not only offer the largest facility, we have a comprehensive set of tools to match. You will have access to every kind of rib, bat and trim tool imaginable as well as electric, gas and raku kilns. |
Our Amazing Space
District Clay Center is located in a 6,400 square foot studio with new amenities in a renovated building dedicated to arts and crafts.

Free Studio
We are one of the only studios that offers Free Time on Sunday afternoons for on-your-own practice. Plus, you are free to sit in on other classes at no charge.

Tools Included
All you need to bring to class is a towel - really. All the tools you will need are provided, as well as shelf space, glazes, and firing services.
