District Clay Center

Glazing Fundamentals
with Connor Czora
Sunday Dec. 14, 5:30-8:30 PM

Join us this holiday season to elevate your glazing skills to the next level!

In this 3-hour workshop on December 14, artist Connor Czora will walk you through a variety of techniques for reliable glaze application! This will include basic glaze techniques, including waxing, dipping, and pouring glaze; as well as more advanced techniques, such as glaze masking, glaze layering, oxide application, and how to use the spray booth.

Students should bring pottery that has been bisque-fired.

Queer Clay One-Shot!
Friday December 12, 5:30-8 PM

In this specialty One Shot! workshop, District Clay Center is holding a safe space for all members of the LGBT+ community to try throwing at the wheel.

During your class, you'll get a wheel, clay, a nice instructor, and 2.5 hours to try your hand at the pottery wheel. You may be mesmerized... or not. The wheel looks easy but it can seem to have a mind of its own. We do promise that you'll have fun.

For materials, we'll provide almost everything! Just bring a small towel or apron.

DCC's Connor Czora on DCTV 📺

District Clay's Creative Director and teacher, Connor Czora, joins DCTV to discuss throwing techniques! The second broadcast in this 2-part series airs at 8 PM on Tuesday, November 18.

Watch online via YouTube or check local cable channels 95 / 96 (Comcast), 10 / 11 (RCN), or 10 / 11 / 28 (Verizon Fios).
