RAISING HELL
with HADRIAN MENDOZA
Sunday, April 23, 1-4:30 PM

Have you plateaued on the potter’s wheel? Having issues raising the clay? Stuck making forms such as bowls and pots with no height? Then this is the perfect workshop for you.
In this 3.5-hour workshop, DCC instructor Hadrian Mendoza will guide students through practical techniques for increasing the height of your pots at the wheel. Starting with a cylinder, students will learn how to achieve taller forms with a more efficient use of clay. Hadrian will discuss concepts covering small details such as hand positioning, finger pressure, and hand and wheel speed.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have the technical tools for throwing taller, more efficient pots on the wheel, along with directions for getting out of raising hell.
