Student Resources at DCC

We want you to SEIZE THE CLAY! and have fun.  Here are some tips for doing that at District Clay and beyond.

  • WE’RE OPEN FOR PRACTICE:  It’s on us! Current DCC students are free to come in and practice any time we are open for classes and as long as there is space available.  Also, join us for free open studio on Sunday afternoons from 12:30-3pm.

  • USE OUR DCC LEARNING AIDS:  They include Demo Request Boards, One-Pagers on Basic Steps, Teacher Recommended Books/DVDs from the DCC Library and Teacher Recommended Online Videos.

  • EXTEND YOUR SKILLS. Take a workshop, an intensive, or come to an artist talk. (Current DCC students get 10% off all workshops & intensives).

  • EMBRACE YOUR INNER POTTER:  Take part in our annual sales.  Consider taking an intermediate or advanced class.  Come to a Second Sunday critique.  Or join our DCC artist program that gives you 24/7 access to the Center.

  • IT'S A BIG (CERAMIC) WORLD OUT THERE:  Check out what is happening in ceramics at other studios, in galleries and at area museums around the DC area.  Our list of happening area events is updated monthly and we offer a comprehensive list of existing ceramic venues all around DC.   We also have have a listing of national resources.
