Community Artists

Impress Yourself.
District Clay is the only area studio that offers a Community Artist Program.  This program is designed to allow more advanced students the ability to work in the studio on their own.  Wheel throwers, hand builders and sculptors are all encouraged to apply for this program.

Please note that this program is not for beginners.  Potential DCC artists should have taken at least three 10 week classes at District Clay (or elsewhere) before considering this program.

Also, only work which is made at District Clay is eligible for firing at District Clay (no work from home).   District Clay is NOT a production pottery and this program is not appropriate for people making large amounts of ware for sale.

If you are interested in the program but have not yet been to District Clay, we suggest signing up for a free tour.

We have spaces for over 75 Community Artists.   We are currently full but are maintaining a wait list.

To fill out an application to become a community artist, please go here.
