I was bitten by the ceramics bug back in high school and have been potting ever since. For over a decade I was throwing at Glen Echo Pottery making functional work and late in 2017 I moved over to a community artist position at District Clay Center.
I primarily make bowls, plates, mugs, and plant pots out of cone 10 stoneware and porcelain.
Thanks for your interest in my ceramic work. If you see something that strikes your fancy feel free to shoot me an email and I can see if I have it in stock or we can talk about making something new.

I make hand-thrown pots designed for food and garden, Sumi-e style sketches on mugs is a trademark; often these include birds and grasses. I prefer darker clays, such as laguna and orange stone, and earthy glazes.

I began working with clay in high school, continued in college and rounded studies out with classes and workshops over the last ten years. My focus is on functional ceramics, and I enjoy pushing the material in new directions, always interested in novel forms.
I teach seven classes each week and manage the studio at District Clay; I teach at Guy Mason Recreation Center in DC, and at Thomas Jefferson Community Center in Va.
I have attended conferences and workshops ranging from NCECA in Houston and Pittsburg, to Simon Leach. When not teaching and working with clay, I am freelance graphic designer.
