For $80, you get a wheel, clay, a nice instructor and around two hours to try your hand at throwing some clay. You may be mesmerized . . . or not. The wheel looks easy but it can seem to have a mind of its own. We do promise you'll have fun. |

Max: Eight Students. Ages 18+
It's a great way to see if wheel throwing is something you'd like to do! It's also fun to do with a friend or a date . . . or even a basset hound.
If you don't, at least you got some mud on your hands. Never a bad thing.
Class moves fast, it's hard to catch-up if you miss a step, please arrive 10 minutes before the class begins, first demo starts at 5:30!
If you are interested in something longer than one night, check out our ten week classes at District Clay.
We supply everything - just wear comfy clothes that don't mind some splatter, tie long hair back and bring an apron or a small towel.
PS: Because you are working with wet clay, there is nothing to take home, except those memories*.
PPS: We also offer One Shot Gift Certificates. Buy two and make it a date!
IMPORTANT COVID REQUIREMENTS:
Everyone entering District Clay must be fully vaccinated. In order to take this class, you must affirm your vaccination status. For more information on District Clay's vaccination requirements, please go here.

*Why can't you take a pot home? The reason is that from putting clay down on the wheel to picking up a fired pot is literally a seven week process: 1) making the clay pot on the wheel, 2) drying the pot to leather hard and then trimming it, 3) drying the leather hard pot to bone dry status so that it can be bisque fired, 4) firing the bone dry pot in a bisque kiln to prepare it for glaze, 5) glazing the pot, 6) firing the pot in a glaze kiln, and 7) picking up the pot. It's a process....
